Massive, primitive, rough edged - words to describe this rustic type of giant Bengali singing bowl. This bowl is every bit as powerful as it looks. If you want an elegant bowl, well, maybe this one is not for you. But if you want a primal looking bowl with a huge voice, this bowl is your huckleberry. The new owner of this ruggedly beautiful singing bowl will receive just over 21 pounds of rich, deep vibration.
We like to use bowls this size for group meditation as everyone in the room will feel the vibrations through the floor.
Giant bowls are suitable for groups as well as private meditation, as the low vibrations travel well through the floor. These huge bowls must be set on a ring or suitable pad to protect them and the surface they rest on. They require a soft, yet heavy, mallet or beater. This giant bowl is not suitable for standing in, we recommend sitting in a chair while playing to prevent falls. While the bowl is large enough for most feet, its vibrations are extremely powerful, which can cause disorientation and loss of balance resulting in a dangerous fall. Seated, you can relax and enjoy the experience without damping the sound of the bowl with your toes or falling out of it.
