Thick-rim singing bowls look much like regular polished bowls. However either the rim, or as in this case, the entire bowl, is much thicker. This gives an attractive polished bowl, with smoothed hammer marks, which is a little heaver than it looks and is higher in tone than a similar sized singing bowl with normal thickness.
