Here is a old style giant polished singing bowl. The soft luster barely disguises the marks of its making, some inclusions and tool marks, in the older style. Simple and unadorned to look at, yet its sound will tell you all and everything what is important about this singing bowl.
The powerful deep hum of this instrument must be felt to be appreciated. It has a complex binaural beat and amazing sustain. The tone is solid and arresting, difficult to ignore. And, it is a carefully analyzed Heaven of Sound certified instrument, too!
Giant bowls are suitable for groups as well as private meditation, as the low vibrations travel well through the floor. These huge bowls must be set on a ring or suitable pad to protect them and the surface they rest on. They require a soft, yet heavy, mallet or beater. This giant bowl is not suitable for standing in, we recommend sitting in a chair while playing to prevent falls. The bowl is large enough for smaller feet (not for medium to bigger size), and its vibrations are extremely powerful, which can cause disorientation and loss of balance resulting in a dangerous fall. Seated, you can relax and enjoy the experience without damping the sound of the bowl with your toes or falling out of it.
